Call for Applications: 77 Municipal Youth Ambassadors (1 youth leader per municipality in Benin)

1. Contexte & Justification de l'Appel

To empower local participatory democracy across all 12 departments, Youth For Challenge is establishing a nationwide network of 77 Municipal Youth Ambassadors. This corps of young leaders connects grassroots communities, municipal authorities, and our advocacy team.

2. Missions & Tâches Principales

• 1Serve as the official YFC municipal focal point with local town halls, youth councils, and grassroots groups
• 2Promote Allô Citoyen initiatives, road safety education, and gender-based violence prevention locally
• 3Document priority communal challenges (waste management, road safety, civil registry) through grassroots consultations
• 4Organize local 'Green Saturday' community cleanups and youth awareness workshops
• 5Attend quarterly capacity-building summits and the annual national assembly of ambassadors

3. Profil Recherché & Compétences

• Must reside in the municipality you are applying for (all 77 municipalities of Benin are open)
• Aged between 18 and 35 with proven passion for community leadership or activism
• Fluent in French and at least one local dialect spoken in the municipality
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and public speaking abilities with high moral integrity
• Available 3 to 5 hours per week for grassroots community coordination

4. Livrables & Calendrier d'Exécution

• Quarterly civic watch and communal activity reports
• Execution of at least two grassroots events (civic dialogue or Green Saturday cleanup)
• Active facilitation of local youth network in the municipality
