Context & Background

PARA-2E & Community Academic Support

Targeted remedial academic coaching targeting rural public secondary schools with lower exam pass rates, paired with textbook and learning kit distributions.

Specific Objectives

  • Reinforce foundational skills in math, physics, technology, and language for 9th-grade candidates.
  • Equip vulnerable primary students with school supplies and math/reading books.
  • Unite communal teachers and parent associations around academic success.

Measured Field Results

  • 198 exam candidates tutored in Ouinhi (including 82 girls) by 18 municipal teachers led by Bidossessi Agossou.
  • 70 complete kits and 20 primary textbooks donated in Lokossa (Zoungamè) and Ouinhi.
  • Measurable drop in academic failure and dropouts prior to national exams.
